The KSEEB which is known as Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board conducts the SSLC examinations every year. The SSLC examination is also known as ‘Secondary School Leaving Certificate.’ The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board is located in the city of Bengaluru or Bangalore. Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board which is also known as KSEEB came into existence in the year 1966. It has been organising the SSLC and other examinations. Every year the strength of the students is increasing tremendously. In the month of April about 8.50 Lakhs are appearing for the SSLC examination every year, and in the month of June 1.50, Lakhs students appear for SSLC supplementary examinations. The board has set up divisional offices of the Board for improving the evaluation system and the results. Last year, i.e., in 2016 the SSLC examination was held from March 30 to April 13. Over 8,56,357 students appeared for the exam at 3,082 centres. Among that approximately 85.73% girls and 85.91 % boys passed. And in the year 2016 approximate 89.63 % students qualified for higher studies. When coming to the year 2015, the total number of students appeared for examinations were around 3,67,928 among which 88.73% girls and 86.91% boys passed, and a total of 89.72 % students qualified for the higher studies. When coming to the year 2014, the total number of students appeared for examinations were around 2,77,205 among which 83.98 girls and 82.78 boys passed, and a total of 84.67 students qualified for the higher studies. And when coming to the year 2017, i.e., this year, the total number of students expected to appear for examinations will be around 8,95,451 among which 89.78 students are supposed to be girls and 89.81 students are expected to be boys, out of which 90.11 students are expected to be qualified for the higher studies. It is seen that the percentage of students passed the SSLC examination are found to gradually increasing every year.

How Grading System Affects the 10th Results
The grading system for Kar SSLC Examinations has been established in the year of 2015. The grading system came into existence to assure the grade given to the candidate’s accordance to their marks.
